I Fell in love once
I fell in love once. It did so much damage. It broke me. But I put myself back together.
I fell in love once. It destroyed my belief in future love interests. But I fell in love with myself instead.
I fell in love once. To lose faith in believing in others. But I learned to trust myself.
I fell in love once. I lost the idea of a perfect family for myself. But I found myself along the way.
I fell in love once. The pain was so unbearable. But the full heart and joy for choosing me was overwhelmingly calm.
I fell in love once. Once I fell. So hard for love that it wasn’t mine to begin with.
So, I began to love falling in love. By putting myself back together, trusting myself, finding new parts of myself that changed over time, while being destroyed and broken.
I fell in love twice only this time, it was my decision. There are no games, lies, cheating or disrespect.
Falling in love isn’t perfect but loving to fall in love with yourself over and over again, is.
Falling in love with yourself…
